Manatees seek warm water during the winter, but one
manatee went a little too far.
Biologists at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Fish and Wildlife Research Institution rescued an approximately 500-pound, six-foot long juvenile male
manatee on February 13 from a pond in a private golf club in North Palm Beach.
Staff from the Loggerhead Marinelife Center also assisted in the rescue.
